  48. IBM PC, XT, AT or true compatibles operating with PC/MS-DOS, version 3.0
  49. through 6.x, Windows 3.x, OS/2, any monitor, Hewlett-Packard LaserJet or
  50. DeskJet printer, or compatible. Requires 320K of memory. May also be used with
  51. other laser/ink jet printers that support PCL 4 or greater.

  160. ╒╡ SHAREWARE EVALUATION LICENSE ╞═════════════════════════════════════════════╕
  161. LASR_MAN is being distributed as SHAREWARE. The SHAREWARE concept allows users
  162. to examine a program on a trial basis, at no (or minimal) charge, before pur-
  163. chasing it. In addition, by decreasing marketing costs, professional quality
  164. software may be distributed for a fraction of the cost of a comparable commer-
  165. cial product. Regardless of whether you register the program, please help dis-
  166. tribute LASR_MAN by sharing unmodified copies of it and its files with others
  167. on a private non-commercial basis. Liability is limited to replacing the soft-
  168. ware for registered users. There is no liability for any damage or loss caused
  169. by this software, directly or indirectly.

  171. You are hereby granted the right to use the LASR_MAN program for a thirty (30)
  172. day evaluation period. If you find LASR_MAN of value, and continue to use it
  173. after this evaluation period, YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR PROGRAM USE. Please see

  178. ╒╡ SPECIAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION ╞═════════════════════════════════════════╕
  179. 1.  To install the shareware version normally supplied on diskette, copy the
  180.     self extracting file "LMANvvvA.EXE" (vvv is the version) to either a sepa-
  181.     rate directory - such as "LASR" - or a directory that is referenced in the
  182.     path statement. At the DOS prompt, change to this drive-directory, type
  183.     "LMANvvvA" and press [ENTER].
  184. 2.  To install the shareware version downloaded from a BBS, unpack the file
  185.     "LMANvvvA" (vvv is the version) to either a separate directory - such as
  186.     "LASR" - or a directory that is referenced in the path statement. 
  187. 3.  To install and "BRAND" the registered version, run the supplied program
  188.     "INSTALL".
  189. 4.  To just "BRAND" the registered version without running the INSTALL program,
  190.     press [F4] at the shareware registration reminder screen.
  191. 5.  To run the program, change to the drive-directory on which it is located
  192.     (only if it isn't on a path referenced directory), type "LASR_MAN" and
  193.     press [ENTER]. If display problems are encountered, use "LASR_MAN /MM" for
  194.     mono monitor systems or "LASR_MAN /MC" for CGA.
  195. 6.  To aid in printing the documentation, change to the drive-directory on
  196.     which LASR_MAN was installed and type "PRINTDOC", which will allow printing
  197.     the documentation with either DOS or LASR_MAN. If display problems are
  198.     encountered, use "PRINTDOC /MM" for mono monitor systems or "PRINTDOC /MC"
  199.     for CGA.
  200. 7.  FOR UPGRADING TO VERSION 5.10 AND LATER FROM EARLIER VERSIONS:
  201.     The format of many of the LASR_MAN files was changed in Version 4. In addi-
  202.     tion, in Version 5.1, all file names that included '-' were changed. It is
  203.     recommended that the files from previous versions - 5.0x and earlier - be
  204.     removed from the hard disk, or moved to a directory that is not in the
  205.     PATH, before Version 5.1 or higher is installed. Registered users will
  206.     either have to change the name of the registration file, from "LASR-MAN.-
  207.     REG" to "LASR_MAN.REG", or re-enter the serial number.
  208. 8.  As supplied, LASR_MAN includes the basic soft fonts, along with samples of
  209.     all of the typefaces for the 17cpi pitch, for use with HP IID/IIP-III-IV
  210.     and compatibles. Supplemental files that contain the basic soft fonts for
  211.     other printers include:
